FAQ
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Choosing the right holster depends on your personal preferences and needs. Our Double Clip IWB holster is a popular choice due to its balanced weight distribution and flexibility. The two clips spread out the weight of the gun, while the leather between the clip and Kydex shell allows the holster to move with your body. After a few days of wear, the leather molds to your body for a custom fit.
For those who prefer a smaller footprint, our Single Clip and EZ Clip holsters are versatile options that can be worn in any position on the waistline, including appendix carry. We also offer several OWB holster styles.
Once you've decided between OWB and IWB, you can explore various options. Contact Me if you any question or need help choosing the best holster style.
Standard Leather is a stiffer, more rugged leather with a porous back that absorbs moisture, making it ideal for OWB holsters. While it creates durable holsters, it requires a longer break-in period compared to Premium Leather.
Premium Leather, made from top-of-the-line Herman Oak Cowhide, is treated and hand-rubbed for superior quality. It is sweat-resistant, softer, and smoother on both sides, providing enhanced comfort for all-day, everyday carry. This leather molds to your gun and body more quickly, resulting in a shorter break-in time.
Absolutely! We offer a comprehensive selection of holsters designed to accommodate the largest selection of light and laser attachments on the market. Horsehide is imported into the USA. Over the past few years, the quality of what is available has hit a all time low. Some holster makers may continue to use it, but I am not one of them. The quality is too flimsy to offer safe and firm retention of your firearm. Should things change, I will add it back, but at this point I cannot put my name on it. For the reasons stated above, I have added the premium Herman Oak leather. It shares many of the same qualities of horsehide, it is just black instead of brown.
Feature | Horsehide Leather | Premium Herman Oak Leather |
---|---|---|
Durability | Tough and abrasion-resistant, but recent quality has declined | Extremely durable and maintains shape well |
Texture | Rough surface with unique grain pattern | Smooth and consistent texture |
Water Resistance | Naturally water-resistant | Sweat-resistant and maintains integrity in humid conditions |
Comfort | Breathable but can be stiff and require longer break-in time | Softer, molds to body quickly, and comfortable for all-day wear |
Availability | Imported, with declining quality | Locally sourced and consistently high quality |
Yes. I offer full slide and muzzle coverage. It covers the complete lower section of the slide all the way to the muzzle, This option make a better fitting holster and has a much nicer appearance. All holsters with lights and lasers come with full slide and attachment coverage.
All of my Hybrid Style Holsters are "Combat Cut". This allows for you to have a full grip of the handle when drawing the firearm. There will not be any leather obstructing the grip of the gun.
All of my Hybrid Style Holsters are custom built for your exact setup. The leather molds to your gun to create a perfect fit. Adding a different shell to a leather backer that is molded to a different gun will not properly secure the new gun. You will have retention issues that could cause the gun to fall out of the holster. For this reason, I do not not make "Swappable Shells" for my holsters.
I do not build gun holsters with the mag holster attached. I do sell mag holsters that are intended to be worn on the opposite side of the firearm. I have several mag holsters that are small enough the you could wear them side-by-side with the gun holster if needed.
My holsters are not designed to carry in the SOB position. Although it is the preferred method of carry for Hollywood actors in movies, it is the most dangerous carry position. Some of my holsters styles can be can be worn in the SOB position, but I do not make a holster designed for SOB carry.
Each of my holsters are designed for as many guns as possible, but some guns are just too big for a certain holster styles. Pocket holsters are made for Sub-compact and Micro pistols. If your gun is not listed for a particular holster style that you are needing, contact me to discuss a custom build.
All holsters come with 100% Satisfaction Guarantee and a Lifetime Warranty. Wear it 2 weeks. If you don't like it, return it for a full refund! Note that Special Order Items returned for refund will have a 25% restock fee. I will work with you to fix any issue that you have with the holster, so please contact me to discuss any problem you have with any of my holsters.
I do not line my holsters. I have carried many different guns for years, and there is no holster wear on the leather or Kydex side of the holster. It is not the Kydex or the leather that wears the finish on the firearm. It is the dust particles that settle between the firearm and your holster. As you walk, they wear on your firearm like sand paper. If you carry every day, please clean the inside of your holster and around the trigger of your firearm frequently. At least twice a week, I wipe down my firearm and the inside of my holster to keep any holster wear from happening.
For security, my payment processor is PayPal, but you do not need a PayPal account to checkout. You can select any of the payment methods listed at checkout. You can use any major debit or credit card to checkout as well. I can manually enter an order and send an invoice to your email address if needed, but this is not my preferred method of payment because it does not get recorded in line in my order book.
